Al d'Aquin
Born and raised inNew Orleans, Al d’Aquin has been playing music and writing song for over fortyyears now. He has performed at such venues as Tipitina’s in New Orleans, Crazy Canucks, in Belize, Irish Kevins, The Rum Barrel, and Smokin Tuna in Key West Fla, and the Flora Bama in Gulf Shores, Ala. Al’s alter ego “Abdul D.Tentmakur” has performed his Saint’s songs for years at the Superdome live onWWL 870 am radio before each Saint’s home game. He has recorded six “Abdul” CD’s and donated the proceeds (over $35K) tolocal charities.
Al is now playing regularlyall along the Gulf Coast with Jon Sorey, as the Duo “Birdie’s Boyz”. Their music can make you smile, laugh, cry,and dance all in the same evening, with a song list that spans the ages, fromJohnny Cash to Kid Rock.
Al is now starting to focuson writing original songs and performing at local songwriter festivals.
