Johnny Mire - Singer/songwriter Johnny Mire is a native of Gautier, Mississippi on the Gulf Coast. His descriptive songs reflect the rich coastal heritage dear to artists and writers from the region. Johnny began performing in the 1970s in Mississippi, Alabama and Florida. Eventually, audiences from Key West to Martha’s Vineyard to Colorado were introduced to his music at his shows until the late 1980s. Johnny moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1987 where he and his wife raised three sons and he works in stage production and management. His songwriting has never ceased and now he’s performing again with a collection of songs from his CD, Down on the Coast. The album’s songs go back to Johnny’s Gulf Coast roots and include Magnolia Blossom, about a paddle-wheeler once familiar along the Pascagoula River, When I was a Kid, bespeaking Gulf Coast summers and hearing music from New Orleans radio stations, and Graveline, a poignant narrative about a favorite Mississippi bayou. Johnny Frequently tours with Matt Hoggatt as part of the acoustic duo, Bayou Troubadour.
Matt Hoggatt - is a Mississippi Gulf Coast native, and former police detective, who caught the attention of Jimmy Buffett in 2012 after winning a contest in American Songwriter Magazine. The chance encounter with Buffett led to a record deal on Mailboat Records, and a touring career around the country. In 2013, Matt took on another role, with his very own radio show on Radio Margaritaville, Sirius XM. Matt has written songs for the Lionel toy company as well as Vietti Chili, and frequently tours with Johnny Mire as part of the acoustic duo, Bayou Troubadour. www.bayoutroubadour.com
